No, Thank you Mr. Harwell

Tonight in the middle of the 3rd Ernie Harwell came out to thank the fans, thank the Tigers, and everyone else who has made his career and life so special. Starting with the Tigers in 1960 you can't think of the Tigers without thinking about Ernie Harwell. While on September 4th the 91 year old announced he had pancreatic cancer, that is uncurable he still shows the up most respect for the game that has let him see so much, and thanked the fans who's lives he has touched in so many ways, some directly and some indirectly. As always he was a class act, well spoken and humble, but let me just say.... no, thank you Mr. Harwell, thank you for all the memories to all of the Tiger fans. He said he was happy to spend what ever time he has left in the GREAT STATE OF MICHIGAN... with all due respect Mr. Harwell, we are the lucky ones, to share a state with you. God bless you, and your family.

To make it better, the Tigers did come back, then hold on, Thank you B Lyon, for a big 4-3 win, to stay 4 and a half ahead of the Twins. All of our games left are against the Central, and really, that is the way it should be.

Sadly, speaking of pancreatic cancer, NCAA Miles Brand died today from it. He was 67. This is sad, since he was planing to step down, but was still the acting president, so he didn't have the time to spend with his family and get the closer he may have wanted, and deserved. A moment of silence will be held before every NCAA football game this weekend in honor of him. He may be best known for being the president at Indiana that fired Bobby Knight, but he also had served as president of the NCAA since 2003. RIP President Brand, my prayers are with your family and friends. I'm right, you're wrong.
